Treacherous ending for 2005-flooding Reno Nevada

So here I sit glued to the tv watching the news. Our river is flooding which is causing major issues in our town. My son's area which is Lockwood is being evacuated. He is in a flood zone which means his mortgage requires him to carry flood insurance so at least if something terrible happens he can recover. And my sister is literally stuck out at her place, we heard there is only 1 exit out for them which is more a back way out probably through the desert.
